Pier underwater

There was great snorkeling right off the pier at the resort. The water was very calm, warm, shallow and clear, which made for good photos. One day I noticed a little yellow stingray hiding under the sand, so I set my camera to record video and used my fin to kick a little water at it, then followed it along the seafloor.

^I also found this beautiful anemone hiding in the seagrass. If you look closely you can see a tiny shrimp clinging to one of its tentacles.

^There were huge schools of minnows.

^Needlefish.

^I brought snorkeling equipment with me from Boise--fins, mask and snorkel, all found at various thrift stores.

^The stingray, in hiding.

There were quite a few little fish, and even a couple big ones. I saw some that I hadn't seen at the marine reserve.
